[diary]: sense of "Not-knowing"

今日上這一堂 applied creativity 真是很精彩。看見小孩們創作的故事和詩，真是很驚訝，同時亦慨嘆我們已没有那種 sense of "Not-knowing"。以下是一個小學生所寫的，除了英文很勁之外（聽說好像是外國人），請留心小孩的觀察力，是單純、直接、細緻......

The Deep Fountain (By Lian Hao Chong)

Outside our class
Is a spurting, blowing, ancient fountain
I look at it and wonder;
How deep is that fountain?
I pick up a small stick
About a foot and a half long
I insert it into the fountain carefully
Not touching the fish
The stick goes in
I feel the bottom of the pool
It is shallow,
Only about three quarters
Of the stick
Are submerged
Underneath the pounding
Rippling
Funneling
Melding
Jets of water
I stand up, dropping the stick
The other kids inside
And the teacher
Come out laughing
And they say I was beating the fish
But I was not
And I laugh
